This original came about as the COVID-19 pandemic descended upon us — melancholy times that forced us to consider the fleeting nature of life and the value to us of those we love, in my case, Sheila. This version was recorded in the fall of 2024 by Duane Lundy and performed on Denny Williamson's fine vintage Steinway.
